Looking for a way to avoid the problems found in the TaeKwonDo today? Like high costs, invalid rank because some organization in Korea kept the money and didn't / won't send the certificate(s),  unrealistic promotion requirements or mandating that you must travel to Korea to test and so on. For other's, it's just being tired of being labeled a "sport" and not a real martial art? Other's see after school baby sitting schools and put you in the same mold.

Well, TKD practicioners who's training and curriculum encompass Hapkido self defense techniques, you have the opportunity to remove that stigma and avoid those other problems.  Many of us have trained and incorporated the practical applications of Hapkido's many joint locks, takedowns and throws. However, we have not embraced the full spectrum of the art of Hapkido, so therefor we cannot seek or expect an endorsement from the Hapkido world. But that unto itself, does not deminish the fact that we have put together a most respectable and accomplished venue of Korean Martial Arts. 

You teach and practice a blend of exceptional disciplines. They have been proven to complement each other, but have always had seperate paths. Now you can offically show certification/recognition for what you really teach/practice.

Your curriculum is your curriculum. We have no intention to dictate what you should teach or the percentage of what should be taught. We offer the opportunity to come together, with other's who are of like mind and establish our own identity.

Our fee structure; Current rank registration - Ten Dollars. This includes ATF certificate of rank and ID card. Additional certificates (all rankings up to current rank), Five Dollars per grade/certificate. For promotional upgrades, it's a matter of time in grade. From 1st to 2nd, one year in grade. From 2nd to 3rd, two years in grade. From 3rd on up, three years in grade. Fee for promotional upgrade - Ten Dollars per rank level.

**A copy of current rank certification must accompany application. You are in actuality, just transferring your present credentials to new one's, that reflect your true martial arts status. In addition, there is the possibility of gaining an upgrading in rank. See below.....   

Our time in grade starts from the date of your first Dan certificate date. Your rank status, may be higher than what you are currently graded at. If you have been stationary at your present rank, the time in grade can/will be adjusted to align with federation standards. This may allow you to achieve a higher ranking than what you are currently at.

We have a very unique opportunity facing us.  Instructors can actually name and start their own kwan.  Case in point, our kwan.  HanMooKwan TKD and HoShinDo HKD. We have become Han Moo Shin Do Tae-Kido.  You and your students can attain your own individual identity and step away from being generalized by the rest of the martial arts world. You can also step away from the second class attitude, that seems to be prevalent towards none Korean masters, instructors and their students.
